Who we are

A Family-Owned Home Care Agency

We're a family-owned business that helps people stay at home, in the rooms and routines they know. That could be a loved one who needs help with bathing, or a family member who shouldn't spend all day alone. It could be a neighbor coming home after a hip replacement.

We drive out across the East Valley, the West Valley and the rest of the Phoenix metro, and down to Tucson. You can reach us 24/7, with nights, weekends and holidays included.

A day at home

From the Morning Shower to the Evening Meal

The help we offer covers the whole day at home. Our caregivers help with personal care like bathing, dressing and the bathroom. They also offer companion care, which means conversation, errands and rides to appointments. We cook, do the laundry and keep the house tidy.

A caregiver can stay through the night

    24-hour care

We give family caregivers a break through respite care, and we support people living with dementia and memory loss. When someone shouldn't be alone at night, a caregiver can stay through it. These caregiver services can be mixed in whatever way fits. You'll find everything we offer on our home care services page.

Getting started

What Happens After You Call Meridian Home Care

Setting up care starts with a conversation.

A woman with a notebook talks with an older woman and a younger woman at their dining table
  1. Call us

Call (602) 200-4819 and tell us about the person who needs help. What does a normal day look like, what do they still enjoy, and which parts of the day have gotten hard? Maybe it's the shower, the late afternoons, or remembering to eat lunch.

  2. A plan

From there, we put a plan together around their routines.

  3. A schedule

Then we set a schedule: the days, the hours, and what each visit covers.

  4. Care begins at home

A caregiver comes to the home and helps with the tasks in that plan.

When things change

Once care is underway, we keep the family informed. Things change, like a fall, a new diagnosis or a move to hospice. When they do, we talk it over with you and adjust the plan and the hours.

Non-medical care

The Line Between Our Help and Medical Care

We help with daily life

  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Meals
  • Getting around
  • Company
  • Errands
  • The house
  • Medication reminders

Stays with the medical team

  • The person's doctors
  • Nurses
  • Home health
  • The hospice team

Meridian Home Care is a non-medical home care agency. We help with daily life: bathing, dressing, meals, getting around, company, errands and the house. We remind about medications at the right times, and the medical side stays with the person's doctors, nurses, home health or hospice team. We're happy to work alongside them. If something falls on the medical side, we'll say so and point you back to the doctor.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Meridian Home Care help if the person who needs care lives with us?

Yes. We come to wherever the person lives. That might be the house they've had for years, a casita out back, or the spare room at your place.

Can family who live out of state stay involved?

Yes. Tell us who should hear about scheduling and changes, and we'll keep them informed, near or far.

How far from Gilbert do you travel?

We care for people across the Phoenix metro. Mesa, Chandler and Tempe are close by. For the West Valley, towns farther north and down to Tucson, we come out there too and set schedules ahead. Check the towns we serve for the full list.

What if care needs change down the road?

They often do. Hours can go up after a hospital stay and come back down as someone gets stronger. Call us when things shift, and we'll change the schedule to match.
